We know that when you suspect there is something wrong with your pet it can be a stressful time. By utilizing an ultrasound, we are able to visualize the anatomy of your pet internally, with a non-invasive approach. We normally preform ultrasounds for congenital heart failure, ascites, pregnancy, and internal tumors. Through the use of ultrasounds, our vets are able to diagnose your pet's medical condition and health more efficiently with no pain to your pet.

Our Daily Ultrasound Service

ur well trained doctors will provide daily ultrasound services to diagnose:

• Pyometra (Puss in uterus in female dogs and cats)

• Free Fluid in Abdomen (Blood and urine - fluid of heart failure, cancerous fluid)

• Pericardial Effusion (Free fluid around the heart)

• Abdominal Tumors (Spleen ?)

Fred C. Brewer IV, DVM, DACVIM (Cardiology)

Dr. Fred Brewer is a board certified (American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine) veterinary cardiologist. He is a native of southern California, growing up in Long Beach where he attended Long Beach Polytechnic High School and later graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychobiology.

Later, he received his veterinary degree from Cornell University in 2009. Following the 4 years at Cornell University, he completed a 1-year general rotating internship at the California Animal Hospital Veterinary Specialty Group in West Los Angeles with Dr. Stephen J. Ettinger.

This was followed by a 3 year Cardiology residency at Cornell University, where he was trained to perform minimally invasive interventional procedures such as pacemakers, balloon valvuloplasties, and PDA occlusions. He has a keen interest in electrophysiology, has extensively studied the canine sinus node, and has published in veterinary medical journals. Additionally, he is experienced in the management of complex arrhythmias and the treatment of refractory heart failure.

In addition to providing the best quality of care for his patients, Dr. Brewer is an avid surfer and enjoys playing water polo, traveling, and photography.

DVM, DACVIM - Small Animal Internal Medicine

Dr. Page graduated veterinary school across the pond in 2006 from University of Cambridge UK. She then did an intensive residency training at VCA All Care in Orange County Ca. Working as a boarded internal medicine specialist her interests include endocrinology, gastroenterology, immunology. She is available for in hospital consults with diagnostic ultrasound and is an exciting addition to our clinic.
